ART DECO INTERIORS: BETWEEN BOHEMIAN AND CLASSIC

Art Deco style is an amazing combination of modernity and retro, luxury and comfort, decorative solutions and practicality. Its purity of lines and an abundance of reflective surfaces appeared in the interiors of European houses in the 30s of the twentieth century, and to this day are widely used by people who are not able to deny themselves the luxury and high aesthetics of housing.

Historical note

Many researchers attribute the history of the appearance of the art deco style to the exhibitions of arts and crafts that have been held in Paris annually since 1925. It is impossible to lose sight of the radical opposition of the characteristic features of the style to the preceding modernity: smooth features and ornateness were replaced by clean symmetrical lines, and intricate stucco work gave way to geometric and natural prints.

The only thing that unites both styles of the first half of the twentieth century is the desire for wealth, luxury and decorative interiors.
